HORACIO FRANCO
Horacio Franco is nowadays one of Mexico's most successful classical musicians, performing both early as folk, contemporary and popular music, with an international reputation based on more than 30-year career as a soloist and conductor.He has toured all over Mexico and to Central and South America, the Antilles, all over the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia and most countries in Western Europe, Lithuania, Israel, Morocco, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Corea and Japan. With all his tours as a recorder player -his instrument- and as a conductor, Horacio Franco has represented the culture and thinking of modern Mexico, with enormous success.
He has had outstanding performances as a soloist of major orchestras such as the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields, City of Birmingham, Philharmonia Baroque, American Composers, Berliner Symphoniker, Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment, Tokyo Solisten, among many others, and performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Fine Arts Palace in Mexico, Berliner Philharmonic Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Tzavta Hall in Tel Aviv a.o, has performed for the Queen Mother of England, and participated in many important concerts in openings for world expos, festivals and other important occasions.

He has attracted a huge amount of young public form all social classes using a pop star image unusual for the classical music, attempting to change the way people approaches classical concerts making them more attractive, especially to this young people. He is used to offer his art to all sectors of society, performing at sometimes unusual venues where ordinary people can listen to him, making him as one of the most versatile artists in classical music world.
Horacio has transformed the vision of the recorder -usually considered an school or amateur instrument-, into a professional and a accomplished one, and has enhanced the value of this in the professional music scene in Mexico and in other countries where he has toured. He has oves 25 recordings in Mexico and some more in Europe and Israel.
